Chicken Butcher and Cooking Demo

A whole chicken can be a quick, easy and cost effective way to get several meals on the table throughout the week. We’ll spend the evening showing you how one chicken can be broken down at home and turned into 3 meals!

During the class we will cover several cooking techniques, from roasting to grilling to soup making. We’ll sample what we make, and enjoy some drinks as well. Everyone will go home with tips and recipe cards to help with future meal planning!

Whole Hog Butchery Demo

Ok, we’ll probably only break down half a hog, but you get the idea. We’ll have one of our hogs from Mountain View Pork in Turlock. Our skilled butchers will walk you through a demo of the process of going from a whole hog, to the sub-primals, retail cuts and the extra stuff, like sausage.

The best way to learn is to eat, so there will be some snacks, and a couple drinks as well. Everyone will take home cooking tips and recipe cards to practice with!
