Private Butchery Classes

Helping our customers better understand where their food comes from, and what it takes to get it on the plate, has always been a focus of ours. We are excited to offer our Private Butchery Classes for those customers who want an in-depth and hands on experience. Classes will typically run 6-8hours, depending on the species, and in the end you will have a freezer full (OR MORE) of local responsibly raised meat to take home.

Classes can be done in a 1-on-1 setting, for a more thorough education, or in a private group setting for friends, family or coworkers looking to share a unique experience.

Classes must be booked a minimum of 14 days in advance. Times can be flexible, to accommodate you or your group. Click the button below to book a class, or for more information.


Half Hog Private Class

Our skilled butchers will help guide you through the process of splitting a half hog into the retail cuts of your choosing. You will take home close to 100 lb of chops, roasts, and more from our local pork. Available for 1-on-1 classes, or private groups of up to 6 people.

 

First Student - $700

Each additional student - $50

Whole Hog Private Class

Spend a day with our skilled butchers as they help guide you through the process of splitting a whole hog into the retail cuts of your choosing. You will take home close to 200 lb of chops, roasts, and more from our local pork. Available for 1-on-1 classes, or private groups of up to 6 people.  

 

First Student - $1200

Each additional student - $50

 

 

Half Beef Private Class

Spend a day with our skilled butchers as they help guide you through the process of splitting a side of beef into sub-primals and finally the retail cuts of your choosing. You will take home 350-450lb of steaks, roasts, ground beef and more from our local dry-aged beef. Available for 1-on-1 classes, or private groups of up to 6 people. 

 

First Student - $3250

Each additional student - $50

 

Whole Lamb Private Class

Our skilled butchers will help guide you through the process of splitting a whole lamb into the retail cuts of your choosing. You will take home 50-60lb of chops, roasts, ground lamb and more from local Katahdin sheep. Available for 1-on-1 classes, or private groups of up to 4 people.
